Umm Safa – Jibiya – Burham Trail

A very easy 5-kilometer natural, religious, agricultural and cultural trail, that is suitable for different age groups. The trail begins at 465 Main Street, then continues through forest trees to the Shrine of Burhami, a Sufi shrine dating back to the Ottoman era.

The trail then heads west towards the Jibiya’s bushes, where hikers can have a rest that includes tea made on firewood while they enjoy the agricultural scenery, as the area contains perennial olive trees.

The next stop is the ancient Khirbet Siya, which dates back to the Roman era; here, hikers would enjoy the magnificent view of the Palestinian coast. After learning about history and facilities of Khirbet Siya, hikers head to the last stop is towards Harsh Jibiya, where they tour the nature reserve. Here, hikers have the chance to have another rest, where they could enjoy a cup of tea made on firewood, and a traditional tomato “Sajiya,” a local meal consisting of tomatoes cooked on a firewood.

The trail begins and ends at Rawabi City, where hikers would also gather ahead.
