Sinjil Trail

A 7-kilometer historic, architectural and agricultural trail, starting in the beautiful town of Sinjil, named after French Saint Gilles, who lived in a church in the center of the town.
The trail is at an easy-level, suitable for all age groups, that includes various archaeological and natural sites, as Sinjil’s Old City which hosts archaeological houses. The trail continues through valleys and mountains towards the Sihweil Castle, the last stop of the trail.
Sihweil Castle built of elaborate stones affixed with oil-mixed clay, using oil collected from farmers’ crops. The castle was the first center of rule during the Ottoman Era; it contains 4 oil wells, large rooms, a court and an execution site.

The trail begins and ends at Rawabi City, where hikers would also gather ahead.
